Brent Allsop
Director
Brent has been active in the extropian and transhumanist movements since 1994. He received a BS in computer science with a minor in psychology from the University of Utah and is currently working as a software engineer for Pacific Webwroks in SLC. He was raised in the LDS church and served a mission to Sendai, Japan (1978-80). He was married in the Jordan River temple in 1985 to Malia Fairbanks. They have 3 children and currently live in Sandy, Utah.


Bryant Smith
Director
Bryant enjoys life with his wife and two young half-Japanese children. He is a software engineer, holding a computer science degree from Brigham Young University, and has worked full-time in the field since graduating in 2003. Bryant enjoys traveling in Japan and visiting with family, and his secret wish is to visit the stars someday.


Carl Youngblood
Director
Carl has worked professionally as a software engineer for over ten years, and is currently the Chief Technology Officer of Construction Capital Source. Carl served a mission in Londrina, Brazil from 1994-96. He received a BA in portuguese with a music minor from Brigham Young University and an MS in computer science from the University of Washington. He is married to Kami Allred and is the father of three boys. He currently serves as Assistant Scoutmaster in the Highland First Ward.


Chris Bradford
Director and Vice President
Chris was born in Utah, but soon moved to Washington DC, and then overseas as a result of his father's Foreign Service employment. He has lived in Egypt, Germany, Jordan, Pakistan and Italy, where he served an LDS mission. A self-taught programmer, he is employed in the computer industry, currently working for a self-publishing company. He has a degree from Brigham Young University in linguistics. Chris lives in Springville, Utah, with his wife, Lucy, and their five sons and one daughter.


Cory Funk
Director
Cory is a graduate student in cell and developmental biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of breast cancer. After completing his PhD, he will either stay in academia, go into industry or attend law school. Cory graduated from Brigham Young University in 2001 with a degree in microbiology. He and his wife, Melissa, have been married a little over a year, and enjoy the slower pace of life in Champaign/Urban.

David Foster
Director
David is finishing his PhD in physics at Arizona State University, specializing in magnetic resonance imaging. He also has research experience in solar physics and superconductivity, and has degrees from Rick's College, Brigham Young University, and the University of Colorado. David grew up in Idaho. He and his two children now live in Arizona. David has a healthy respect for what the scientific method does and does not say, and an appreciation for investigating unpopular ideas.

Joseph West
Director and Secretary
Joseph is a full-time parent and husband, and full-time student. He's married to his best friend and, together, they have two kids, a four year old boy and a two year old girl. He received a bachelors degree in philosophy from the University of Utah, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Arizona. Joseph is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and lives in Tucson, Arizona.


Karl Hale
Director and Treasurer
Karl is happily married to Ana Lisa Bradford, and they are the parents of seven children. He has a Masters degree from Brigham Young University in Information Systems Management and has worked in that field for 12 years. He is currently the Vice President of Technology for a web-based personal publishing company. In addition to technology, Karl’s interests include languages, reading, woodworking, cello and juggling.


Lincoln Cannon
Director and President
Lincoln has fourteen years of professional experience in information technology, working primarily as a manager and engineer for companies in the systems management industry, such as Symantec and Novell. He holds a masters degree in business administration and a bachelors degree in philosophy from Brigham Young University. Lincoln served a mission to France for the LDS Church, is married with Dorothée Vankrieckenge, a French national, and is father to three bilingual children.
